Written in the Stars

Set in the warmth and simplicity of the 1990s, Written in the Stars follows Meera and Aman, two people whose lives are changed by a decision made with the best of intentions. Years later, the past begins to resurface, bringing with it old memories, unanswered questions, and truths that were never spoken aloud. More than a love story, ‘Written in the Stars’ is a story about hope, sacrifice, forgiveness, and the consequences of choosing what we believe is right for someone we love. Set before smartphones and social media, the novel transports readers to an era when relationships unfolded through conversations, letters, and shared moments, a world that moved to a different rhythm and allowed emotions the space to grow.

If you have ever reflected on the choices you made, the words you left unsaid, or the possibility of second chances, this is a story you may connect with.

With this book, I wanted to tell a story about hope, second chances, and the choices that shape our lives. I was also inspired by the simplicity of the 1990s — a time when friendships felt deeper, waiting meant something, and life moved at a gentler pace. Through Meera and Aman’s journey, I wanted to explore how a single decision can alter the course of two lives, even when it is made out of love. At its heart, ‘Written in the Stars’ is a reminder that while we cannot rewrite the past, we can find the courage to understand it, heal from it, and move forward with hope.

This book is for readers who enjoy emotional, character-driven stories filled with hope, love, friendship, and personal growth. It is for those who remember the simplicity of the 1990s and would like to revisit a time when relationships grew through conversations, letters, and shared moments. It is also for younger readers who are curious about that era — a world before smartphones and social media, where life moved at a different pace and connections were built face to face. Part love story and part journey through a bygone time, ‘Written in the Stars’ offers a glimpse into an age that many remember fondly and others may wish they had experienced.
